SOMA Welcomes Bryan Bowers Band, Lon Hannah & San Joaquin Junction, and The River Arkansas to Roster

Bryan Bowers Band

For over five decades, Bryan Bowers has been to the autoharp what Earl Scruggs was to the five-string banjo. He presents instrumental virtuosity combined with warmth, eloquence, expression and professionalism.

Master of the autoharp, singer/songwriter/storyteller, Bryan has teamed up with two multi-talented musicians, Danny Knicely (world class Virginian mandolinist, guitarist, and mandocellist) and Geoff Goodhue (New England based singer and multi-instrumentalist) to create American folk and mountain music at its finest.

Lon Hannah, who toured for over 30 years with Sons of the San Joaquin and set the barometer for all western harmony groups, continues the legacy with San Joaquin Junction.

Joining Lon are two members of Sons of the San Joaquin, five-time California State Fiddle Champ, Dalisay Johnson, who also performed with Buck Owens, and outstanding upright bass player, Dan KehlerKeith Hamm, 20 year veteran of the Santa Cruz music scene, guitar and dobro extraordinaire, completes this hot four piece group that resides in the San Joaquin Valley.

SOMA is proud to announce we’ll be taking over the festival and theater booking for Americana outfit, The River Arkansas. Frontman/songwriter Mike Clark, of Haunted Windchimes fame, joins some of the finest musicians on the Colorado front range delivering a mixture of heartfelt country, blues, folk, and Americana, inspired by the Arkansas River.

The band has traveled the midwest, south, and western United States as well as playing shows all across Colorado.

The sound of this band is absolutely at home at any mountain festival, but don’t assume it to be another one-trick folk pony. No way. This’ll play in the city.” -Stubborn Sounds

We are pleased to announce the addition of Grass It Up to our roster!

Steeped in American music traditions such as bluegrass, folk, ragtime, rock and country, Grass It Up has shaped a unique brand of Americana that expresses the feeling of life in today’s American West. Their stories translate to timeless songs that touch the heart of their listeners, and their melodic instrumentation bends rules. Grass It Up has been producing their own original music since 2005, and is celebrating their 6th full-length album this summer, Borrowed Time, recorded live on March 12, 2016 at the Western Jubilee Recording Company in Colorado Springs.

Grass It Up is renowned for their thought-provoking songwriting, high energy and engaging live performances. After recording two albums at Western Jubilee and many years of friendship, we are excited to welcome Grass It Up to the roster!
